MOOSE

Moose is an 8 month old Labrador retriever mix. He weighs 65 lbs. He is up to date on preventatives. He will be neutered 3-17-25 adoption fee $85 Moose was owner surrendered sadly as they no longer could take care of him with their lifestyle. Mooses like many wonderful, wonderful dogs at the shelter- he sadly has many strikes against him before anyone even meets him in person. First off - he is a black dog. There is abundance of black dogs at the shelter and there is something called black dog syndrome. Black dogs don't get adopted as quickly at a shelter and can linger behind sadly. Secondly is a big dog. Thirdly, he lags in training. Thankfully this last obstacle can be overcome with consistent training and one-on-one time. Moose took a great walk with a volunteer yesterday. He was very quick to learn new commands and aims to please. Moose just arrived so we are still getting to know him.
