My Story
Mulder is an energetic and playful 1.5-year-old Scottie Terrier with a short black coat and a big personality! Weighing 22 pounds, he is full of charm, a little mischief, and plenty of love to give. He enjoys games, especially being chased around the house, where he expertly squeezes into every nook and cranny. But as soon as you stop chasing him, he'll jump right onto your lap for cuddles!
Mulder is house-trained for peeing outside but is still working on consistently pooping outside--likely due to the cold weather and adjusting to a new routine. He is crate-trained but also does well roaming the house when home alone.
Mulder's ideal home may be as an only pet or with an older, mellow resident dog. He does well with female dogs but had a conflict with a male dog in his previous home, leading to his surrender. For reasons unknown, he also does not like pugs, so a pug-free home is a must! He hasn't been tested with cats or children, but he may do well given proper introductions.
This clever and fun-loving pup loves toys--especially stuffed animals, which he takes great joy in destroying. He enjoys going for walks, playing games, and being near his favorite person. While he isn't particularly food-motivated, he eats his meals at his own pace and will take treats occasionally.
Mulder is not overly vocal; he will bark if someone comes to the door or if he sees another dog outside but calms down quickly. He does fine alone but much prefers the company of his humans. He doesn't necessarily attach to just one person, but he does form strong bonds and will likely choose a favorite.
Mulder has settled into his foster home well--after a few days of warming up, he became deeply attached to his foster and now never leaves their side. He would love an adopter who appreciates his playful, mischievous side and enjoys engaging with him in fun games. Whether he's running around the house or lounging next to you for a nap, Mulder is guaranteed to bring lots of love and laughter into his forever home!
