A loyal and loving nine-and-a-half-year-old Labrador Retriever mix from Benicia, CA, whose heart is as warm as his beautiful red and white coat. Mumford is a medium-sized bundle of both adventure and relaxation, depending on what his humans need. With his playful spirit, Mumford is always up for a game of fetch or a good hike, but he’s equally happy to just chill out and keep you company, whether you’re binge-watching your favorite shows or reading a good book. He’s the perfect balance of active and laid-back—whatever vibe you’re feeling, Mumford will match it!
Mumford has had some formal obedience training and knows an impressive list of commands: sit, stay, down, paw, spin, and even play dead! He’s been hard at work fine-tuning his behavior and is ready to continue learning and growing in a patient, loving environment.
Mumford thrives as the solo dog in the home, where he can soak up all the love and attention from his people. He can be selective around other dogs, especially when it comes to toys or food. Mumford did have a moment where he nipped at a small dog in the household over food, so he’s looking for a home where he can be the only pup. However, with people—especially kids—he’s an absolute sweetheart, always friendly and eager to be around his favorite humans!
Mumford is a big fan of toys and lounging around, though he does experience a bit of separation anxiety when left alone. Mumford would thrive in a home where he can be the center of attention, without other dogs. A yard would be a dream come true for this loyal boy to explore and unwind in.
