February 14th is just around the corner! Are you looking for a giant teddy bear that will actually love you back? This Valentines Day season, Mylo is looking for love.
We believe that Mylo Scruffkins is an Airedale Terrier mix, but he is a rescue so this is just our best guess. Estimated to be around 1 year old, Mylo is past the terrors of puppyhood and settling nicely into his established good boy era. Mylo weighs in around 58 pounds, and like any good teddy, loves to snuggle!

Mylo is currently fostered in a home with two other dogs, and his loving foster pawrents. He is a huge fan of being cozy and can usually be found sprawled out on the couch, curled up in a dog bed, or sneaking some snuggles in bed with you. He loves to go on walks and loves to explore. He does well in his kennel and goes in for a little treat. He is silly and sweet and snuggly and perfect. He is exactly the type of dog you want to come home to after a long day at work, or a weekend getaway. He is comforting and kind. He is calm and relaxed. He gives the sweetest little kisses, hes the type of dog that will feel like a member of the family in no time.
With other dogs, Mylo is friendly and gracious, but not overly playful. He met dogs of all personality types, and sizes here at the rescue and did well with all of them. He even met a small scruffy dog under 20 pounds and was very sweet with him. He is small dog friendly, we believe he could live in a home with small dogs. He shares treats and affection well with other dogs. While he doesnt like to play too terribly much, he does like to coexist with other dogs, lounging together or tandem walking. Mylo could live with other low to medium energy dogs, or thrive as your one and only.
Mylos foster mom reports that he doesnt have accidents in the home or in his crate. Hes easy on leash, and with a little polishing, hell be a perfect walking companion. He takes treats so gently, making treat-based training enjoyable for both of you. Mylo is a really good boy!
Mylo is absolutely adored by his foster parents, and its easy to see why. His favorite spot to hang out at home is in front of the fireplace, in his dog bed.
While we havent seen Mylo with kids just yet, we do believe he has the potential to make an amazing family dog! We can kid-test at your request!
Mylo would do well as just about anyones companion dog, so long as youre willing to provide lots of cozy spots and treats. Mylo meets new people with ease and a relaxed demeanor, so hell be an easy dog to have around if you have a large family or group of friends. Hell make a perfect walking companion for morning trail walkers or neighborhood strollers. We are willing to test Mylo with anything you need us to in order to ensure hes the perfect match for you! We facilitate adoptions across the US through our own internal transport to ensure the quality of care. We travel to WA, UT, OR, ID, VA, PA, OH, NY, CT, VT and Canada (Canadian adopters will need to pick up in Bellingham, WA or Brattleboro, VT for the eastern Canadian border)! Our pups travel in comfort with 24/7 care on our USDA licensed vehicles, including buses and cargo vans. You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience!
The adoption fee is $1600 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship!

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescues hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical caresuch as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic carecan lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
