**Meet Myrtle: A Sweet Senior German Shepherd Looking for Her Forever Home**
Myrtle is a loving, resilient 10-12-year-old German Shepherd who has been through a lot in her life, but her gentle spirit and kind heart are still shining through. At 70 pounds, Myrtle is a bit bony due to her rough past, and her body shows the signs of a life spent mostly outside—she struggles with severe hip issues and has endured flystrike on her ears, which we suspect indicates she was left outside for much of her earlier years. Despite the challenges she's faced, Myrtle remains a loyal and affectionate companion who deserves the comfort and care of a warm, indoor home for whatever time she has left.
Myrtle's golden years may not be easy, but she has so much love to give. She may be slower these days, but she still enjoys the simple pleasures—gentle walks, basking in the sun, and curling up on a soft bed for a nap. She is looking for a calm, quiet home where she can feel safe and cherished, surrounded by people who will help her manage her discomfort and give her the love and attention she deserves.
This sweet senior girl is in need of a home where she can spend her golden years inside, away from the harsh elements. With some TLC and a soft bed, Myrtle will thrive in a space where she is treated with kindness, patience, and respect. If you're looking for a companion who will appreciate every moment of kindness and return it with unconditional love, Myrtle might be the perfect fit. Can you offer her the warm home she has always deserved?
**Thank you for considering adoption! Please note the following important information:
-We are unable to transport animals out of state. Adopters must be able to pick up their new furry friend in person or make other arrangements.
-If you reside in Los Banos, you will be required to purchase a dog license as part of the adoption process. A 1-year dog license is $10.
-If your adopted animal is getting fixed through our animal shelter, you will also be required to vaccinate the animal for rabies. The rabies vaccination costs $10.
- If your new dog hasn’t been spayed or neutered yet, a refundable deposit will be required at the time of adoption—$100 for males and $150 for females. This deposit will be returned to you once the spay/neuter surgery has been completed.
-We only accept payment in the form of a check or money order. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to helping you find your perfect pet!
