My Story

Myrtle is a sweet and wise older terrier with a heart full of love and a gentle spirit. With her silvering fur and soulful eyes, she's seen a lot of life and is looking for a quiet, cozy place to call home for her golden years. Myrtle may be a bit slower these days, but she still enjoys leisurely strolls, cuddles on the couch, and the occasional treat. She's a laid-back lady who loves attention and will gladly accept all the TLC you have to offer. Myrtle is the perfect companion for someone ready to shower her with affection and patience as she enjoys the simple joys of life. If you're looking for a loyal friend to share quiet moments and offer unconditional love, Myrtle is your girl Come meet Myrtle today! she is currently located at the Ellensburg Animal Shelter. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is lifesaving. Adopt Don't Shop.
