My Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Nacho is a complete lovebug who gets along wonderfully with all the pups in his foster home. Nacho is a playful and friendly dog who loves to be the center of attention of his humans, but also enjoys playing with other dogs. Nacho was found as a stray in an area outside of Houston where dogs are often dumped. He was getting beaten up by larger dogs when a kind person saved him. Nacho loves to play! He can be a bit of a counter surfer, so it's best to keep stools that he can jump on away from counters until he learns the house rules. Nacho has the cutest smile and an adorable underbite that makes his tooth get stuck on his lip. He rides perfectly in a crate in the car and is very calm in public, often falling asleep. He eats meals and sleeps in his crate, it is his safe space! Nacho enjoys watching people and dogs on the path behind his foster home and will join in the barking when the other pups are excited, but he is otherwise quiet. He is a great pup who would do well in any home situation. His foster family loves him and will miss him! If you're looking for a playful, affectionate and adorable pup to join your family, Nacho might be the perfect match for you! Nacho is from Texas. They arrive in Minnesota on 2/8 and will need to be picked up from the Ruff Start Rescue office in Princeton, MN between the hours of 9AM and 12PM. Please plan for their arrival accordingly as we cannot accommodate pickups outside of this time frame. Since they haven't arrived yet, they are available exclusively through Ruff Start's Foster to Adopt (FTA) Program. Click here to learn more about the FTA program. Once they get to Minnesota, they might require further veterinary care. Ruff Start's veterinary suite is located in Princeton, MN, and, as the foster, you will be required to transport your dog to and from these vetting appointments. If you are interested in getting to know this animal better, please fill out an adoption application. An adoption application is the best way to show your interest in an animal and is not a binding contract. To learn more about Ruff Start's adoption process and the care our foster animals receive, please visit our How to Adopt page. *Rescue puppies are notorious for losing their birth certificates before entering our rescue. We cannot guarantee the breed or size they will be full grown.* If you are unable to adopt but want to help this animal and others in our care, you can donate to support the medical and veterinary needs of all Ruff Start Rescue animals.
