SAN DIEGO, CA (SO CAL) - APPROX 1 YR FEMALE CHOW “NALA” IN NEED OF A LOVING, RESPONSIBLE HOME, IDEALLY W/ CHOW EXPERIENCE - PEOPLE AND DOG FRIENDLY, BUT SHY.
Please help us find a loving, responsible home for beautiful Nala after she and her siblings were found dumped in the La Mesa area. Although posts were made, no owner ever came forward, and a good Samaritan took them in temporarily. The dogs have recently been vaccinated and will be spayed as a condition of their adoption.
Nala gets along with her female siblings and is described as quite loving once she gets to know you. However, until she feels comfortable, she and her siblings can be skittish at first, common with the chow breed. Nala and her siblings have done pretty well with the temporary home’s other dogs, and kids, but if you have another pet, a meet and greet is strongly recommended.
Currently, Nala and her siblings are trained to go on pee pads inside, but also go potty outside. We would like to see any new home keep her as an indoor pet, but be able to take her on more regular walks, and continue with socialization. There are no reported bites or medical issues though. Please note Nala recently blew her coat, so her mane used to be more full.
If you are interested in applying for Nala, please contact
[email protected] or Southern California Chow Chow Rescue Network who is assisting with their placement. Chow experience is preferred.
Sorry, we do not do transport to private homes unless a rescue is involved due to risks of a home or dog not working out for any reason.
All adopters will be asked for a home check (which may be virtual), an application, a vet reference and an adoption contract. A $150 donation to a chow rescue is requested. Her siblings are also available to adopt and posted separately.
We will be posting more pictures and videos of Nala on facebook at: https://www.facebook.com/debbie.alder.14/posts/pfbid0nKb7Jusc4E48dijZdpTPWTgmHjoBvZ4AYezcZqW2xzfFmgXGTCTD2voNBRXzB7wLl
