Nana

Meet Nana! This all white mostly deaf Bully breed mix is looking for a forever home where she can be pampered like the princess she is. Nana's owner passed away and the rest of the family decided she would have to live in the unfinished basement for there on out. She spent 3 years in the basement getting only her bare minimum needs met. When Nana came to us she was terrified and in really bad shape. She hid in her kennel and was crawling with fleas. Within a few days she opened up and surprised us all with her delightful personality! Nana needs a brief introduction to new folks before she realizes she's made a new friend - then it's all wags and wiggles from there! Nana seems to have preferences towards women, but has made lots of friends here at the shelter. She loves walks, playing in the yard, and any sort of toy. Nana is friendly with dogs and non-reactive. She means well, but has a little too much fun chasing them sometimes. We are unsure of how Nana does with cats, but she may think chasing them is a fun game as well and cats might not appreciate that! Nana's true age is a mystery but after a vet check, we believe she is around 6 years old. She is a big girl! Nana is recovering from ear infections and skin infections that went untreated, but is a good patient and eats all of her medicine no problem. She is food motivated and loves affection. Nana's ideal home is not too busy with guests as she does need a brief intro to most new people. While she may be able to live with another dog, she would thrive as a solo pet.
