Hi, I'm Nico! I'm a senior guy who found myself at the shelter after my family could no longer care for me. Thankfully, I was rescued by the kind people at Second Chance and now I'm living in a foster home where I'm learning to trust and feel safe again. I may be a bit older, but I've still got plenty of love to give. My perfect day involves perusing the yard, lounging on comfy dog beds, enjoying a few tasty treats, and getting all the ear scratches I can! I get excited when I see those treats coming my way! While I'm well-mannered, I might have the occasional accident if my foster mom doesn't catch my signals when I need to go outside. I'm still working on my communication skills, but I'm a quick learner! I love car rides, though I do get a little nervous in new places or around unfamiliar people. But with some patience and love, I warm up quickly. I get along well with the four other dogs in my foster home--I'm more interested in sniffing around the yard than playing, but I enjoy their company. I'd be just as happy as an only dog, though, if that's what you're looking for. As for cats, I'm not sure yet, but I'm a gentle guy, so I think I could be fine with the right introduction. If someone has caught your eye and you wish to arrange a meet and greet, we do need you to fill out the adoption application. When your adoption application is received our screening team will verify the information given. Once your application has been confirmed and approved, we will be send it over to the foster parent for review to determine if your home is a good match for the dog. In the event one lucky dog receives multiple applications, please know we do not select based on a first come basis. We try our best to select the best-fit for our animals and families. ***
