Nora

A23490 Nora is a tan colored, approximately 1-year-old, 51-pound, spayed female, Lab/Shepherd mix. She originally entered the shelter as a stray on 11-07-2024 and was altered by our medical staff. Nora is a friendly, eager and excited girl here in the shelter. Our staff describes her as an energetic, bouncy, playful dog. They say she wants to be everywhere and smell everything all at once. She was easy to leash once you calmed her down, because she wants to get out of the kennel. She does pull hard in excitement and will need some additional leash training. She has had some training and will "sit" upon command but is easily distracted. She would do best with an active family that has a yard for her to play in and would give her the love and attention she needs. She has a friendly interest in other dogs here at the shelter. She seems to want to run and play with them. Nora was adopted and then returned for not doing well with small children and was attacked by the other dog in the household. A meet and greet is recommended if you have another dog at home. Nora will be a fun-loving family member in her new forever home. She is available for a field trip and foster to adopt for up to 30 days.
