My Story

**** Please stop by Dogtoberfest at the North Haledon Dog Park (Brookview Ave @ Rec Fields) on Sunday 10/27/24. Sweet Nova would love to meet with you between 1 - 3 pm. The fosters will be on site to answer all of your questions **** All Nova wants is to be by your side or in your lap! She is a 11-month old mixed breed puppy that looks like a tiny lab with up ears at just 15 pounds. Nova was born with juvenile diabetes, which can be challenging to manage, but with the help of an incredible medical team, Nova has the best chance at a full life. Our sweet little girl is seeking a forever home! She is great with kids, and even lets them carry her around like a little doll she will do anything to be in your arms! Nova is good with dogs and currently fostered with a dog, cats and children. She is crate trained and working on her housebreaking. Her new family must be able to administer insulin and take her to vet visits. Her medical costs will be covered until adoption. Please visit apathwaytohope.org to apply! Novas doctors have been working to regulate her diabetes as her puppy body grows stronger. Her current foster mom reports that she is eating great and getting her insulin / medication with no issues. She is happy, energetic and all puppy a completely different dog than the fading puppy we rescued just a few short weeks ago. Thank you for never forgetting about resilient spirits like Nova, determined to live, but in need of ongoing care.
