Nova almost died from a completely preventable issue! This sweet 11 year old pittie was never spayed previously and was suffering from a deadly pyometra when surrendered to a local inner city animal control. Her white cell count was over 100k and she was rushed into surgery as soon as she arrived at our vet for an emergency spay to remove the ticking time bomb of an infected uterus that was quickly killing her. Thanks to our vets at Country Willow Veterinary Hospital she survived and is thriving, a sweet gentle soul who loves cuddles and belly rubs but still has some young dog energy for walks.
