Nutmeg

Sweet Nutmeg has had a tough start in life. She was abandoned by her previous owner when they moved out of their apartment, leaving her behind. Thankfully, the property owner discovered Nutmeg in the empty apartment before she had been alone for too long and took her in, hoping her owner would return--but they never did. Now, Nutmeg is with us, searching for a forever home where she'll never be forgotten or left behind again. At 2 years old, Nutmeg is a bundle of energy and joy. This girl is ACTIVE! She loves to run, play, and be right in the middle of the action. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and she's always ready for some fun. Nutmeg gets along well with other dogs and is very friendly with people. She would love to have a dog companion in her forever home who can keep up with her high energy and join her in playtime. However, most of all, Nutmeg just wants an owner who will love her unconditionally and never abandon her again. Nutmeg is also highly food motivated, which makes training a bit easier! We've been working on teaching her to sit, but her excitement for treats often gets the best of her--she's still learning but manages to sit about 50% of the time! It's a work in progress, but she's definitely eager to please. This sweet, loving girl has so much to offer, and we know she'll make an amazing companion in the right home.
