My Story

AVAILABLE BEGINNING 2/26/25! Meet Oakley! Oakley he is almost 4.5 years old and weighs in at 65#, he is a Labrador Retriever. Oakley came to us after a change in his family's life circumstances. They had him since he was a lil pup, and so were heartbroken with having to make the decision to find him a new home. Oakley was very loved by them and we are sure we can find this guy his new forever home in no time!! His previous family described him as affectionate and loving. Oakley is an all around a friendly and social dog! Even at his age he still thinks he's a puppy sometimes! Oakley did live with another dog and did fine with her. He also lived with children and was good with them as well. It was also mentioned Oakley was interested in chasing squirrels and rabbits at his past home. He has the typical Labrador desires to chase small animals just for the game of it. He is willing to learn and food motivated and probably would love to go on some hunting expeditions! He met our office cats and was a bit too interested in them. With his desires to chase and hunt other small animals, it is best that no cats are in his new home. Oakely has a love of tennis balls and playing tug of war with rope toys. He loves chew bones as well, but can be protective of them if another dog is around. High priority items will need to be given when only when supervised or given when separated from other dogs. Neutered, heartworm & Lyme negative, current on vaccines and on monthly prevention. His adoption fee is $100. If you are interested in meeting and adopting, please submit an application here: https://www.fultoncoanimalcenter.org/application-to-adopt-a-dog Once submitted our staff will review and then contact you to set up a meet and greet! If it's a match, you can take home on the same day. Any other dogs in the home must come in for a meet & greet! We do offer a 2 week foster to adopt trial time, to be sure the chosen pet is a good fit, before finalizing the adoption! Closed Sunday/Thursday 11-4 Saturday/Monday 11-5 Tuesday/Friday 11-6 Wednesday
