My Story

Océan is a brindle French bulldog who was recently rescued from a puppy mill. Thankfully, in December, she will be celebrating her fifth birthday (12/11/19) in freedom! Over the last three weeks, this fun-loving hippopotamus has come out of her shell and is slowly learning how to accept affection. She has made best buddies with a puppy, Pomeranian, who she loves to play with. This once timid and scared mill momma now gives kisses and enjoys being scratched behind the ears. Océane gets along well with teenage kids and tolerates small children but hasn’t had much exposure. She loves adult humans and gets along with small dogs. She doesn’t always fully know her strength but never initiates any issues. Thus, we would recommend she go to a non-dominant dog home. She hasn’t been around cats or other small animals. We are currently working on potty training and, weather permitting, walking on a leach. Océane is a precious dog that makes you fall in love with her. We are seeking a forever home where she can be pampered like the princess she deserves to be. Look at those pink nails! PLEASE NOTE: Oceane will only be adopted out within the Rochester, NY and surrounding area. This dog is being fostered in Rochester, NY by Rescued Treasures Pet Adoptions. We are not a shelter, but a foster home-based rescue and these animals are all housed individually with foster families. If you are interested in meeting Oceane, please fill out an application at: https://rescued-treasures.com/dog-application/ Please review our application carefully and ensure everyone in the family is ready for the lifelong responsibility of a canine companion.
