My Story

***FOSTERED IN PENSACOLA*** ***Fence required*** Meet Olive! Meet Olive, a playful and energetic 16-week-old piebald Great Dane puppy with a zest for life! Olive lives in a foster home with an older female dane named Ladybug, a female catahoula named Ruby, and another dane puppy named Murphy. Olive loves to entertain herself indoors with her favorite stuffies, chew toys, and especially wrestling with her brother, Murphy. Outside, she’s always ready to run, chase, and burn off her boundless puppy energy. Though she has endless enthusiasm during the day, Olive knows how to settle down in the evening, cuddling up with her humans and furry friends for some quality couch time. She’s even been known to actively watch TV, trying to figure out what's happening on the screen! Olive has a healthy appetite and has used a slow feeder to pace herself well. She’s working hard on learning to sit for treats but could use a little more practice with self-control. While she’s still not tall enough to counter-surf, she’s giving it a good try and perfecting the art! She knows her name and basic commands like "inside," "outside," "sit," "come," "breakfast," "dinner," "treat," and "go to bed." Semi-potty trained, Olive is doing well with her training but still needs supervision and patience to avoid the occasional indoor accident. She's crate-trained and can comfortably stay in her crate for up to six hours, mostly snoozing, especially at night. She likes her crate when it's time to sleep but isn’t a fan during the day if the older dogs are out playing. Olive prefers her raised canvas bed over stuffed beds, which she has been known to tear up. But when it’s bedtime, she eagerly runs to her crate when she hears “go to bed,” knowing a treat awaits her. This affectionate girl loves giving kisses and snuggling on the couch after a long day of play. Olive gets along well with older dogs but prefers the company of her puppy brother and would thrive in a home with another young, active and playful dog who can keep up with her antics and zest to play constantly. She’s lived with a cat but hasn’t had much interaction with him. If you're looking for a sweet, fun-loving puppy with a big heart and even bigger potential, Olive is your girl! Could you be her new home? Olive is fully vaccinated, spayed, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $400. To read over the adoption requirements before applying, please go to www.nwflgdr.com/adopt.
