My Story
Meet Olli, an adorable black Chihuahua/terrier mix puppy with a heart of gold. He is estimated to have been born in late July. At just 4 lbs, this little guy has already shown remarkable resilience after being abandoned and infested with fleas, but he’s now on the road to recovery. Olli is full of life and has a touch more energy than his sister, Autumn, but he’s still incredibly well-behaved and calm for his age.
Olli loves to spend his time cuddling on your lap or curling up around your neck, and he’s quickly learning to use pee pads, making potty training much easier. He’s smart, eager to please, and already proving to be quite adaptable. Olli is currently being fostered with a toddler and three dogs, and he’s done a great job fitting in, being gentle and unbothered by noise.
Olli is microchipped, vaccinated, and will need to be fixed when he’s six months old. He’d be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time to give him the love and attention he deserves. **Please do not use the "Introduce Yourself" feature. The information needed to determine if you might be a match for one of our animals can only be found on our application. An inquiry, questions or introduction through Petfinder is NOT an application. All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue).
The adoption fee for puppies covers initial deworming, puppy vaccinations, microchip, and spay/neuter at the rescue's approved vet at 6 months of age. Please see our website for more information.
2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals:
Puppies under 12 months - $350
Dogs over 12 months - $250

*Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures. All of our puppies live in foster homes where they are socialized, and well cared for. An application will be required to make sure it’s the perfect match!

Breed labels are given based on information obtained during intake and/or best guesses based on appearance and/or temperament of the dogs and Take Paws Rescue gives no assurance to the accuracy of these labels.
