Onyx is a sweetheart deluxe! She's a 1 and a half year old, 53 pound Heeler and Lab mix. She's a little shy and we're working with her on leash walking. The loud, chaotic shelter is not her friend and, the sooner she can get out, the better. Once she was outside today for playtime, her tail started wagging and she held her head up and gave us a big smile!
Adoption fees are $60, $30 or free. If the pet has been at the shelter more than 30 days, they are free. Check the INTAKE DATE on the adoption card to determine this. If the pet is 4 years of age or older OR if you adopt more than one pet, the fee is $30 for each pet. All others are $60. OKC Animal Welfare is open for adoptions from 12-5:00 Tuesday through Saturday. The shelter is at 2811 S.E. 29th St., phone # 405-297-3100.
The dog/cat adoption fee includes spay or neuter, MICROCHIP, age-appropriate shots and health check. Use pet's ID # when inquiring.
