Opie

This handsome boy is Opie. He is from a shelter in Alabama. He arrived slightly fearful but has made HUGE strides in the three days he has been in his foster home. He is a perfect blend of chill indoor companion and happy outdoor doggy playmate. He will need a patient adopter who will continue to show him new life experiences and reassure him that life is fun, not scary! He is walking well on a leash with a harness but DOES NOT do his business on the leash so would benefit from a fenced yard where he can do his business on his own terms. I have seem him do his business on a tie out, but still does not prefer it. Calm, quiet, low energy and takes correction easily. Has a big bark but you will not hear it often. His confidence is improving with meeting dogs and strangers on walks and in the home. Good with the resident dog and afraid of the cat. I think he would prefer to live in a home with another dog to help him continue to blossom but with proper introductions due to his fear. Interested in this sweet dog?
