My Story

Meet Oreo Our cute new friend came to us yesterday from the good people at a local shelter. Staff reached out for rescue help for Oreo, as he is a young senior at the age of nine. As a quiet, older dog, Oreo was a bit overwhelmed in the shelter. Luckily, the staff and volunteers had a place in their heart for this sweet double-stuffed Oreo, who is about the size and shape of a loaf of bread. Oreo was carried around and spoiled a lot during his shelter stay, but everyone wanted to see him in a home again. Oreo came into the shelter when his person was having surgery and did not want to worry about caring for a dog. She did note that he walks nicely on a leash, is quiet, and is perfectly house trained. We took Oreo without a plansomething we dont usually do, but we thought we could make it work, with your help. Helping our local shelters and their beautiful animals is very high on our priority list. This 12# chocolate chip loaf does need to lose a few pounds, but has no major health issues, is already neutered, fully vaccinated, dog and cat friendly, and ready to go. If youd like to adopt this little guy, and give him a quiet place to decompress, he would appreciate it, and we could save another shelter dog on our list who is in desperate need. To adopt - https://www.hharteam.org/adoption-form/ Please share! The list of seniors and special needs dogs who need our help is growing rapidly every day. The animals are counting on you. Oreo is in Northern NJ and we do not ship dogs.
