Oscar doesn’t ask for much – he enjoys a low key lifestyle fitting for a senior like himself. He enjoys the company of other dogs, but doesn’t require there be another dog in the house. He gets along great with dogs of all sizes and also does well with cats. Oscar is working on his potty training – he has no problem going outside but if you don’t take him out when he needs to go, Oscar will have accidents in the house. A good feeding and potty routine will help in this department, as will the smallest belly band you can find. Oscar really enjoys his people; he will follow his human around while they do their household chores, but when it’s time to relax, he wants to be snuggled up next to you. He enjoys sleeping in bed with his humans, but will also settle into a dog bed near your bed if that’s your preference. While he doesn’t have any teeth left after his recent dental, Oscar has no problems eating soft dog food. Because he likes the company of his people, Oscar loves to have you sit with him while he eats his meals. Being all of four pounds, Oscar does not mind being toted around by his people and he seems to enjoy wearing sweaters, pajamas and other clothes to help keep him warm in the Wisconsin winters.
