Belgian Shepherd / Malinois & German Shepherd Dog Mix
There once was a girl with no name. She found herself pregnant with nowhere to go. Some stranger picked her up and took her to a dark, loud, scary place called Animal Control where she delivered her babies. Now, she not only had to protect herself but also her six precious babies. She worked so very hard to keep them warm, dry, and fed. Little did she know, despite her best efforts, her little family was scheduled to be euthanized.
Thankfully, when her babies were a few days old, she was taken out of that scary place. Her little family was put in a van and drove for a very long time. A nice lady took her and her babies and put them in a nice, warm, comfy place. The nice lady fed her and ensured she and her babies stayed warm and dry. She started to trust this lady and knew she was here to help them.
I now have a name, it is Ozark, and this story is about me. My babies are now 8 weeks old, healthy, and happy. I am a 2-year-old, Malinois/German Shepherd mix. I weigh about 65 lbs. I discovered the nice lady taking care of us is my foster mom. She tells me I am a very good girl and I believe her. I listen very well to her and do what she asks. I think I would really like to play with my foster siblings, but I am still watching over my babies so we have not gotten to play yet. We have met through the fence and I really like them.
I know I am very smart. When we do the fun training sessions I catch on very fast. I really enjoy doing those. I also love to walk on my leash and am careful not to pull too hard. I know I am expected potty outside and know never to chew up anything that is not mine. I already know how to sit, kennel up, and off. Personally, I know I can learn lots and lots more.
My foster mom tells everyone I am such a loving girl. I love to give her kisses and snuggle with her. She has given me some wonderful bones and they are my favorite. I am still learning humans are friendly and not to fear them. She reminds me every day that I am loved and special.
I will be spayed, microchipped, current on vaccinations and flea/tick/heartworm prevention at time of adoption. My adoption fee is $175. To meet me, you just need to fill out an application at PawsitiveTailsKC.org. Once you are approved, we can meet.
Thank you for listening to my story. Foster mom says I had a rough start but she is determined to ensure my life is smooth and happy from here on out.
