Palo

Adopt Palo! Palo had his 3 week check up ever since surgery and doing well! He’s a 2 year old Malinois (mix?). Palo had a hard life from the start. He was brought into the Modesto shelter as a puppy and had Parvo, he was at the shelter for 4 months! He luckily survived and was adopted back then! Fast forward to 2 years later, Palo is back at the shelter, his owner not answering any calls. He required ACL (knee surgery) and is listed as rescue only. One day before he was set to be euthanized an amazing foster stepped up to help him. Palo is dog friendly, small, old, young and big. He loves to play tug with his foster Malinois siblings. He sleeps through the night, in his crate. He goes to work with foster mom and is non-destructive if left alone in the office. His favorite activity is Bennebone chewing. He used to be scared of slick floors and is now doing much better! He loves kids and will easily fall asleep on their lap. He’s just a big baby who will give you his belly for more rubs. Palo is doing great after surgery and we expect a full recovery by January. He would love a house with other dogs, even kids if someone can teach him good house manners. He is jumpy when excited (at dinner time or after coming home). He doesn’t seem to have resource guarding or barking issues. He is a great dog and looking for a furever family.
