My Story

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Parker, 10 month old, neutered male, yellow lab/golden retriever mix, 45 pounds currently but will continue to grow until fully mature. Parker is in a foster home in Houston, TEXAS and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! We are taking our best guess as to what breed(s) make up this guy, but we expect he will be a healthy 60-75 pounds once fully grown. As such, you should be fully prepared to accept him at whatever weight/size he attains. Parker is a playful, high-energy dog who thrives on interaction with other dogs, cats, and people. He loves running around the yard, playing hard, and then settling down for a good, long nap. Despite his energy, he’s incredibly affectionate and cuddly, always happy to meet new people and play with his favorite toys. Parker gets along well with small dogs and shows friendly curiosity toward them without being overbearing. He is also very cat-friendly and has no food aggression. Although Parker hasn’t been around children, his docile nature suggests he’d likely do well with them. He’s still working on leash training and potty training, but with time and practice, he’ll improve. He tends to run toward home on walks and isn’t a fan of going places he doesn’t want to, such as the car. Parker can be left home alone, but he misses his caregiver when they’re gone. He would thrive in an active and loving home, possibly with children and other dogs, where he can continue to enjoy his playful, affectionate nature. With his blonde eyelashes and sweet personality, Parker is sure to win hearts wherever he goes! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt him?
