My Story

Patience is a 3-year-old Bulldog mix who is equal parts energy and affection. This lovable girl is looking for a home that will not only meet her high energy needs but also help her build confidence as she navigates her fears. Despite her name, Patience is a bit of a scaredy-cat at heart, and many of her behaviors stem from fear. Her ideal family will take the time to understand her, help her feel safe, and provide the structure and consistency she thrives on. Patience recently went though a training program with Miracle K9 training and comes with follow up training for her new adopter. Here's why Patience's foster mom thinks she will make a wonderful companion: Housebroken and Crate Trained: She's got the basics down! Patience is fully housebroken and feels comfortable in a crate or crated area. Great Routine Buddy: She loves having a routine and would do well with a family committed to training and creating structure. Chill at Home: While she has lots of energy outdoors, she also knows how to relax. She's happy to snooze in the mornings or lounge on the couch while her person works. Ultimate Lovebug: Patience adores snuggling in bed or curling up on the couch and doesn't mind acting like a lapdog - tail wagging all the way! Respectful of the Home: She doesn't get into things she shouldn't, with the exception of sneaking into trash cans without lids (watch out for those tissues!). The ideal home for Patience is an active and committed adopter. She'd thrive with an active person or family who can meet her energy needs through walks, playtime, or a fenced yard where she can zoom around. A patient adopter willing to help her navigate her fears and triggers; while giving her time to settle into her new home (she typically adjusts around week two). While she hasn't been around children, her energy level and size might be better suited to homes with older kids or adults. Patience is a truly wonderful dog who just needs the right environment to flourish. She's been doing amazing in her current foster home, and her foster highly recommends a foster-to-adopt arrangement to ensure the right fit.
