Peanut

Peanut is an adorable Poodle/Shih Tzu mix who's about 2 years old and weighs 14 pounds. This poor guy endured more pain and suffering than imaginable. He was found in a field in Palmdale completely matted and covered in foxtails and pieces of METAL! He was so matted he was barely able to walk The shelter staff shaved TWO POUNDS of matting off of him! Once they did they discovered multiple puncture holes and embedded foxtails and bruising. Peanut required surgical repair of two puncture areas. The most amazing thing is he was sweet and calm through his whole ordeal! The staff were amazed and he was so grateful after they cleaned him up he couldn't stop wagging his tail and giving kisses. Once he was in our care he thrived and blossomed into an incredibly funny, sweet, affectionate dog who loves everyone he meets and is fantastic with kids and great with other dogs. Peanut is very playful and likes playing hide and seek with items like shoes (never chews on them). He also loves to take out all the toys from the toy box and surround himself with them like they're Christmas presents! He's super cuddly and gives gentle doggie kisses. Peanut is great on a leash and is housebroken and not a barker. This amazing guy is THE perfect dog.
