ADOPTION OF A PUPPY UNDER 9 MONTHS OF AGE
The dog you are interested in is a puppy (under a year old). Puppies are placed into their new homes on a foster-to-adopt basis until he/she is old enough to be neutered or spayed. We prefer the puppy to be no younger than 7 months old for females and 9 months for males. Houses with pools must demonstrate that puppies can be restricted from the pool with fencing or a cover. Additional puppy vaccines will be required, and will be coordinated by SPR to occur either in your home by an SPR volunteer, or brought by the adopter to an SPR-approved facility. Puppies often have multiple potential adopters, so SPR evaluates which home is the best match with any given puppy and their expected home needs once they have grown.
Peanut is a resilient German Shepherd with a big heart and a touching story. Rescued alongside five other Shepherds after being abandoned in the desert, he was the smallest of the group and likely had to fight to survive. Now safe and cared for, Peanut is blossoming into a sweet, intelligent dog who is eager to learn and trust.
Volunteers and the dogs at the dog house have been helping Peanut on his journey, and he’s showing remarkable progress. Though he’s still learning to trust, he gains confidence quickly and is incredibly smart. Peanut is searching for a family that will provide patience, understanding, and unconditional love. In return, he promises to be a loyal, loving companion for many years.
If you’re open to fostering or fostering to adopt, please consider Peanut. He needs a home where he can continue to build confidence and realize that his future is bright and safe. Let’s give Peanut the loving family he truly deserves.
If you can give Peanut an indoor forever home, please fill out our online application on our website at http://www.savingpawsrescueaz.org/adoption-form/
We will only schedule meet and greets with an approved application. We are an all-volunteer organization. It may take a couple of days to process an application and complete reference checks.
Thank you for your interest in saving the life of a puppy and providing for its FOREVER home.
