My Story

Meet Pearl. She is a pretty lady but a sad lonely lady. She is a gentle lost soul. We feel she is depressed. She is aloft. She had been adopted from a now defunct rescue and was, after 3 years, surrendered to us. A young granddaughter is now in the picture. She is approx. 6 1/2 yrs of age and weight 54lbs. She has been treated for Lymes and is doing fine. Were she lived before she was pretty much left to roam and do as she pleased. She may not have had a lot of human interaction and this is what she became use to. She needs someone to warm her heart. We feel she would do well with a easy going, patient, quiet family/person. Some one to hang out with but ok if she is not all furry hugs and sloppy kisses. She rides ok in cars. Will come up for head massage. In her foster home she does play with the one male dog a little then lays down. When the dogs are barking up trees she does go and join in for a little bit. Has some guarding issues, such as food. She would need to be fed separately from other dogs. She is ok with cats. Doesn't seem to care about them. She will go in crate at night if need be but not a big fan of it. She can be scared by new things. Loud noises, things out of place. A home without small children would be best. A home were she can be loved by a patient soul. Someone to help mend her sad heart. If you feel this beauty is for you please visit our website and fill out our adoption application. Once we process this we will set up a meet and greet with you. www.perrycountyanimalrescue.org PA Lics #5506
