Penelope

Penelope is a fun loving 11 month old, ~45 pound Terrier Mix. Penelope is well on her way to being a wonderful pup — she walks well on leash, is crate trained, potty trained, and learning basic commands. She will need consistency and a patient home who is committed to continue her training. She would do well with another calm dog her size or larger (prefers males). She is an energetic and athletic pup who will need an active home. She likes to play with toys and other dogs with proper introductions. She loves sticks and will work to find the biggest one in the yard! She loves car rides and is always up for an adventure. Because she is young and her size, Penelope would do best in a home with children over 8. She will need a home who will stimulate her physically and mentally. She’d love someone who runs/walks, or loves to hike. She would love a home with a fenced yard to play but would not be required if it is the right fit. Penelope can be a bit protective of her yard (with people) and will bark at newcomers, but quickly warms up with treats and affection. She is also protective of her food with other dogs and will need to be fed separately from any other dog in the home. Penelope is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, and on heartworm and flea/tick preventative. All dogs are required to be on year round heartworm prevention.
