Penguin

This little Penguin waddled in to Boxers and Buddies with her litter of 1 day old pups. The reality of the shelter is heartbreaking enough without being a mama-to-be. We desperately tried to get her safe before she gave birth, but we were too late. Penguin gave birth to 10 puppies while in a cold, outdoor cage. Puppies don't make their own body heat and this situation was deadly to 4 of the puppies. We are heartbroken that we couldn't save them all but 6 baby Penguins and mama are safe and warm. This beautiful girl and her babies are available for adoption.
