Penguin

This little Penguin waddled in to Boxers and Buddies with her litter of 1 day old pups. The reality of the shelter is heartbreaking enough without being a mama-to-be. We desperately tried to get her safe before she gave birth, but we were too late. Penguin gave birth to 10 puppies while in a cold, outdoor cage. Puppies don't make their own body heat and this situation was deadly to 4 of the puppies. We are heartbroken that we couldn't save them all but 6 baby Penguins and mama are safe and warm. Penguin is an American bully/staffordshire terrier mix. She is 2 1/2 years old. She is a good girl who needs someone to teach her some confidence and who is willing to spend quality time with her. Someone who works from home, is retired, or can take her to work with them would be best. She would do better as an only dog, but can do well with a submissive male counterpart.
