My Story

Meet PEPPER JACK! As of November 24, 2024, he is 2 months old and 6 lbs. We don’t know his exact breed but we do know his parents and they are about 35-40 lbs and appear to be lab/shepherd mixes. Pepper Jack has THE MOST GORGEOUS coat! It’s brown, it’s black and sometimes when the light hits it just right, it’s almost blonde. It’s holographic! And as a bonus, his fur is super duper soft which means you’ll probably be giving him extra belly rubs and scritches! He has an adorable little poof at the end of his tail. Perhaps as he gets older and bigger, his tail will be a bit poofier! Pepper Jack is a playful and funny little boy! He loves to follow his foster family around their garden and check out what they are doing. He also likes a little independence and is happy going off on his own for a “sniffari”. But he’ll always come back for some cuddles and kisses. Pepper Jack loves his bones and toys. He does not discriminate - give him a bone, a ball or a squeaker toy and he’s happy as a clam. Pepper is great with other dogs and absolutely loves humans! He has known kindness and love from his very earliest days when he was bottle fed by his rescuers who found him and his siblings in the forest of Puerto Rico. He would be wonderful with kids and definitely good with cats (all dogs are at this age and with a proper introduction). Feel free to email us: [email protected] _______________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: THIS DOG IS IN PUERTO RICO AND WILL FLY TO NY/NJ ONCE ADOPTED. We strive for our dogs to be adopted into the right home. The best fit for the dog is our priority. Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment is the most important thing in caring for a dog. In addition we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopters home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
