My Story

Perry is a 3-year-old German Shepherd Husky mix with an adventurous spirit and a heart full of loyalty. With his striking coat and bright eyes, he's a handsome dog who is always ready for an outdoor adventure. Whether it's hiking, running, or playing fetch, Perry is full of energy and loves to stay active. His Husky side loves to explore, while his German Shepherd side makes him a quick learner, eager to please and always ready to tackle new challenges. Perry is a social dog who forms strong bonds with his family. He's protective, alert, and has an intuitive sense for his surroundings, making him an excellent watchdog. But don't let his serious side fool you - Perry is also incredibly affectionate and loves snuggling up with his humans after a long day of fun. He's a loyal companion who thrives on attention and enjoys being part of the family. Perry is looking for an active home where he can get plenty of physical and mental stimulation. He'll thrive with owners who can provide structure, playtime, and love. If you're looking for a dog who's both playful and protective, Perry is the perfect match! Come meet Perry today! He is currently located at the Ellensburg Animal Shelter. If you are interested in adopting this pet, please fill out an adoption questionnaire at www.yakimahumane.org. A Yakima Humane Society staff member will contact you once your questionnaire has been received. Adopters are welcome to visit the adoption center Monday-Saturday. A Picture says 1000 words...right? While an animal's picture draws interest, the reality is that as a potential adopter most people would like as much information as possible about a pet. The Yakima Humane Society is an open admission shelter. What does this mean? Over 90% of the pets at the adoption center arrive as strays, no history of behavior or medical care is known. Adding a pet to your family is a big responsibility. Please research carefully and remember that adoption is lifesaving. Adopt Don't Shop.
