Fostered near Grand Rapids Breed: German shepherd mix DOB: 5/22/24 Sex: Neutered male Weight: 15 pounds Approximate adult weight: 65 pounds HI, my name is Petey! Me and my sister Poppy came to APB from a shelter down in Kentucky! I'm a Shepherd Mix, but we don't really know who my daddy was. I am a super mellow and sensitive fella. Nothing like my sister! She's obnoxious! My foster dad calls me Boss Dog because he is convinced this isn't my first time around as a dog. (He saw the movie a Dogs Life) Mostly because I'm just not the typical crazy puppy dog. Don't get me wrong, I love to play with my sister and the humans, and wrestle and chew on my toys (and slippers, sssshhhhh) but I'm pretty chill usually. I like to follow the other dogs around but I also like to just wander around the yard alone, and sometimes take a nap on the deck after the other dogs go inside. I like my alone time.  My favorite place to sleep isn't on the  couch with the humans, it's on the cold air vent where the cool air comes out of. I do really like my crate too, its a quiet place to bring a toy. I do like to pretend I want to nap on the couch with the humans, but I really just want to chew their fingers. I do love some good snuggled and belly rubs and especially hugs! Those are great! I like to try to play with the kitties too, but they're not very playful at all and they have super sharp nails! I'd really like a quieter home, maybe without too much chaos. My foster mom says I need to practice going bye-bye because she says I drool and look so sad in the car! I just really don't care for all the curves and bumpies and noises! Our adoption process includes an application, personal and vet reference checks, and a home visit. We do not ship dogs under any circumstances.
