Petey

Meet Pete, Petey the sweetie, Pistol Pete. We are not sure why Petey was found all alone, but we are glad he found us. Pete is a special needs baby. He is fully blind with a decent underbite that we find adorable! He also has some lack of development in his back legs and vertebrae, resulting in being born without a tail. We are unsure if that's from bad breeding or a hard birth with momma, being confined to a small space. We are really unsure. Despite his differences, he is a happy and thriving boy! Pete gets around pretty well but has more hope than a normal gait. He is brave and otherwise a very normal puppy! It's hard to tell exactly what the future holds for Pete, but we do know that his adopters need to be as special as he is! We are taking applications for Pete. We would like the adopters to understand that Pete is likely to need further vet care in the future, especially later in his life. Vet references will be required. We also would like someone who believes in positive training and can commit to a long-term home to ensure the best fit for Pete! Pete will likely need another dog as a companion, to be his "seeing-eye dog" in a way, but that isn't a requirement!
