This precious poodle mix was found running along the 105 freeway in the scorching heat, his fur matted over his eyes, and wearing a sweater despite the blazing weather. Thanks to the quick actions of a few Good Samaritans, Pierre was brought to safety. The local animal shelter's humane officer arrived shortly after and took him in. Upon contacting his owner, we learned that Pierre didn’t even have a proper name – he was merely nicknamed “Bugatti” after his owner’s dream car. When the owner refused to take him back, we gave this charming pup a more fitting name: Pierre. Pierre is about a year old, weighs 13.7 pounds, and is incredibly sweet and playful. He adores human companionship and enjoys the company of others. While he has been around other animals and gets along well, Pierre truly thrives as an "only pet" where he can be the center of attention and soak up all the love. He has a gentle, loving nature and would be happiest in a home where he doesn't have to compete for affection. Pierre has a unique and adorable habit of standing on his two hind legs like a meerkat to observe his surroundings. He loves going on walks and enjoys every moment spent with his human friends. Pierre is looking for a responsible home where he can get the care and attention he deserves. He’s a gentle soul, but we prefer to place him in a calm, loving home without rambunctious, young children.
