My Story

Meet Ping Pong! This pint-size 1-year-old, 14 lb male dachshund is quite the personality and spunks you would never guess. In October, he was rescued from a horrific, illegal puppy mill in Busan, South Korea; Ping Pong is one of almost 600 dogs saved through the efforts of Korean K9 Rescue and our incredible partners. Now thriving in foster care, Ping Pong is looking for his forever family. Watch his rescue here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/pH4y4l8j2RE Adopting a puppy mill survivor like Ping Pong has unique rewards and responsibilities. He has shown incredible resilience and a bright spirit, but dogs from these backgrounds often require patience and time to decompress and adjust to a loving home. While Ping Pong is currently healthy and has received excellent veterinary care, potential adopters should be aware of the genetic predispositions common in dogs from such environments, back disease (IVDD) common with the dachshund breed, including luxating patellas, heart conditions, dental issues, etc., that could arise later in life, and prepare both financially and mentally to help Ping Pong live an everyday happy life.
