My Story

Meet Ping Pong! This pint-size 1-year-old, 14 lb male dachshund is quite the personality and spunks you would never guess. In October, we rescued from a horrific, illegal puppy mill in Busan, South Korea. Watch his rescue here: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/pH4y4l8j2RE. Ping Pong needs an experienced and patient adopter who will help him adjust to living indoors and being a regular dog. He would thrive as an only dog and needs daily exercise and enrichment to keep his active mind stimulated and fulfilled. Until he's settled, he needs help with potty training and separation anxiety. Adopting a puppy mill survivor like Ping Pong has unique rewards and responsibilities. He has shown incredible resilience and a bright spirit, but dogs from these backgrounds often require patience and time to decompress and adjust to a loving home. While Ping Pong is currently healthy and has received excellent veterinary care, potential adopters should be aware of the genetic predispositions common in dogs from such environments, back disease (IVDD) common with the dachshund breed, including luxating patellas, heart conditions, dental issues, etc., that could arise later in life, and prepare both financially and mentally to help Ping Pong live an everyday happy life.
