Poe

Meet Poe, a 15-week-old boxer mix puppy, found injured in a parking lot in Baltimore. A good Samaritan rescued her and took her to the safety of the shelter. Poe has a fractured leg and pelvis, that have already begun to heal. She has been seen by our orthopedic and he feels confident the fractures will completely heal on their own- oh the joys of being young! She is currently being fostered and doing great! Poe’s foster Mom can already see improvement. Here is what her foster Mom has to say: "It's been less than 2 weeks since Poe came to stay with us. She is such a sweet and easy-going puppy. She is so quiet that you'd almost forget she was even in the room. The only noise she usually makes are what we call her little piggy noises when she's sleeping. She loves to cuddle up in her dog bed but is also happy cuddling up in a human bed as well. She chews on her toys and not my shoes. She plays well with the other dogs in the house and is so far very polite when people come inside- she patiently watches from her spot and waits for you to approach her. She potties almost as soon as she is put outside which has been fantastic in all the snow. She's still learning to ask to go outside, but she's getting there” Poe is going to make a great addition to a family ready to add the joys of a young pup to their home!
