This handsome boy and his three friends were recently surrendered to the shelter. Their former home didn’t provide them with the best housing or care options and while the shelter can be overwhelming with all the loudness and other dog smells, it is a place of cleanliness, food and care. These four dogs will need to adopted into patient and loving homes, given time to acclimate and be comfortable with their new reality.
Pokey is the least timid of his friends and does trust us enough to leash him and go for much loved walks. He does know what toys are but hasn’t felt comfortable enough to play with them just yet. His legs and haunches are stained but in time will wash to a clean white. We aren’t 100% certain of his breed but our best guess is a Brittany Spaniel and a hound as his coat is short and smooth. Pokey is a very sweet boy with velvety ears. He is soaking up the newfound human attention and would love to be in his forever asap.
