My Story

Name: Polly Age: 1.5 years old (Born June 15, 2023) Sex: Female (Spayed) Weight: 44 lbs Energy Level: Moderate (Balanced and active outdoors, calm indoors) More videos: [https://photos.app.goo.gl/XDefzuTXsESFSgiY9] Rescue Story Polly’s journey began in South Korea, where her mother, Yellen, gave birth to a litter of seven puppies near a riding stable. She spent her first two months with her mom before transitioning to a boarding facility and doggy daycare at four months. There, Polly learned socialization and obedience while interacting with dogs of various sizes. She is now locally fostered, thriving, and ready to meet her forever family. Approved adopters will enjoy a two-week trial period to ensure a perfect match. Personality & Behavior Polly is a gentle, well-mannered, and social dog who thrives on companionship and outdoor activities. • With People: Polly is friendly and comfortable with women, men, and children. She is patient and gentle, making her a great fit for families. • With Dogs: Polly gets along well with dogs of all sizes. She is respectful during greetings, enjoys calm interactions, and plays well with both large and small dogs. • With Cats & Other Animals: Polly shows little interest in cats or birds during walks. She may give them a brief sniff but moves on without any fixation. Polly is calm indoors, enjoying rest and cuddles, but she becomes playful and energetic when outdoors or at doggy daycare. Her moderate energy level makes her adaptable to both active and relaxed lifestyles. Home Life & Training Polly is an intelligent dog with a solid foundation in training, thanks to her time at daycare and her foster home. • Alone Time: Polly can be left alone for 3–4 hours and typically rests when accompanied by another dog. • Separation & Chewing: She shows no signs of separation anxiety and only exhibits brief chewing behavior, such as gnawing on objects after walks, which she quickly stops. • Car Rides: Polly travels well in the car and enjoys the ride without motion sickness. • Leash Skills: Polly walks calmly on a leash, although she may pull slightly when curious about another dog ahead. She’s cautious in new environments but stays close to her handler and improves with reassurance. • Crate Training: Polly sees her crate as a safe space and rests comfortably inside when needed. • Grooming: Polly tolerates baths and tooth brushing well, although she’s not a fan of the process. She cooperates wonderfully for ear cleaning and nail trimming, making her easy to care for. Favorite Things • Toys: Polly enjoys squeaky balls, plush toys, and tug-of-war games. • Food: She loves meat and fish-based treats, especially chicken, fish, and frozen steamed pumpkin. • Activities: Polly thrives on outdoor adventures, from walks to dog park visits, and enjoys structured playtime at doggy daycare. Ideal Home Polly would flourish in a loving home that appreciates her balanced energy and social personality. She loves human interaction and canine companionship, so a home with another dog or one where she won’t be left alone for long periods would be ideal. Her adaptable nature makes her suitable for families or active individuals who can provide both outdoor activities and a calm indoor environment. Polly’s future family should: • Be committed to providing consistent training and companionship. • Monitor her water intake to prevent overhydration, especially around walks. • Offer proper leash management due to her strength and agility. • Allow time for Polly to adjust to her new surroundings with patience and love. Health & Adoption Information Polly is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, and in good health. She has been treated for past ear infections and is currently thriving. She takes preventative care for flea, tick, and heartworm and will come with a health certificate and vaccination records. • Adoption Fee: $650 (includes transportation to the U.S.). • Trial Period: A two-week trial ensures a good match. • Required Items: Adopters must provide a Tractive GPS collar, Ruffwear Webmaster Harness, and a martingale collar. Breed Information Our rescue dogs’ breed information is based on physical traits. DNA tests may yield varying results, so please only apply if you’re ready to welcome Polly into your home regardless of her breed. If you’re looking for a loyal, playful, and well-mannered companion, Polly could be the perfect fit for your family. Apply today to meet her! [https://forms.gle/AzdovYFURQeaKioo7]
