My name is Poofy (aka Poof, aka Muppet)! I’m looking for a very special home of my own. I was removed from a hoarding situation at 4-5weeks old; they didn’t even know my brother and I were there! I am up to date on my vaccines, spayed, microchipped, and heartworm negative. I’m a tiny 5.5#, 6-month-old, tri colored, female Shih tzu. Don’t let the “tiny” fool you though, I am MIGHTY (mighty bossy, mighty energetic, mighty CUTE)! I must eat in my kennel and be kept away from others while they are eating. While I love to play tug, I can be a toy hog. I MUST have a fenced in yard. My new family will need to monitor my big girl teeth, as some of my baby teeth are being stubborn and refusing to fall out. My new family will have children or another playful dog(s) as I won’t do well being the only. Did I mention how cute I am? I am ready to be insta-famous! Or not; my silly antics can be kept between us if you prefer. I am good with dogs of all sizes, very friendly, love to wrestle, play tug, chase! I respect corrections from dominant dogs. I met a cat once and was very curious. I am good with children. I love to be held, brushed, snuggled. I am wiggly but tolerant of nail trimming. I will need regular grooming. I love everyone and seek attention from every person I meet. I might make a great therapy dog! I am crate trained (I keep it very clean) and am 50% “outside” potty trained (will use a pee pad). My fee is $650, and potential adopters will be thoroughly screened in our application process, including confirmation of up-to-date vaccinations and Rx heartworm and flea/tick prevention of current dogs/cats in the home through a veterinarian check. Current dogs in the home must be spayed/neutered. I am being fostered in north central Ohio.
