Popeye is the happiest boy and has so much love to share. He literally grins with happiness. Popeye is being fostered in Houston Texas and can transport to his approved adopter. This happy 2-year-old boy was found as a stray in Houston and has been flourishing in his foster family's home. He is medium size, weighing about 47 pounds. Popeye is crate trained, housebroken, great with kids, non-reactive to strange dogs, plays well with others and loves attention and affection. Because no dog can be perfect, he is working on learning to stay down when he sees his human. He is just so happy to be around you that he is learning to constrain his enthusiasm. His foster mom says he will sit after hearing it a couple times and will lean against you wiggling with anticipation of getting some love. Popeye plays well with his siblings, both the two- and four-legged variety. He has spent time with kids ranging in age from 5-14 years old and just loves the attention and affection he receives from all of them. While playing with his fur brothers, he waits for them to initiate play and then matches their energy. While Popeye does enjoy play time, walks, and random bursts of energy, he is perfectly content to just lay next to you and snuggle all the time. He is just so happy to be with a family that he doesn't ask for much. Popeye really seems to be the best addition to many households, and he will quickly show you why he earned the nickname Smiley Dog. ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown.
