Poppy

Poppy has never had a toy, never played, never had love in his short life. Acts like he's going to be hit if you move your hand too suddenly. However, within 24 hours, he's learning FAST and is truly loving to follow the foster mom everywhere to be loved on, to try to figure out squeaky toys, trying to play with the resident chihuahuas. He loves to nap on the Foster Mom's foot when she stops long enough, but he'd really love her lap if she ever sat down. He isn't potty trained yet but also needs neuter on January 10 so that'll help. He's learning quickly to stop at the door to get his paws wiped, even. He's a precious little guy and, like all dachshund and the breed mix, can be loud and proud of that fact. He looks mostly blue chihuahua, though. He'd make a great companion to a family with older kids and MUST HAVE A SECURE FENCE because he doesn't know not to run out the door yet! He needs to continue that training also. No dog is perfect without training!!!
