Meet Pour! This handsome standard poodle is estimated to be 2–3 years old and weighs about 40 pounds. Found as a stray in heartbreaking condition—severely matted and neglected—Pour’s journey to recovery has been nothing short of remarkable. On his first day out of the shelter, he suffered a broken leg that required immediate surgery. Unfortunately, complications arose, and a second surgery was needed months later. Despite it all, Pour remained in high spirits and even became a favorite patient at UPenn! Now fully healed and thriving in his foster home, Pour is ready to find his forever family. He’s a social butterfly who adores other dogs, gets along great with cats (he has a foster kitty brother!), and charms every person he meets. While Pour would love a home with another playful dog, it’s not a must. Pour is a medium- to high-energy pup who enjoys an active lifestyle. Exploring new places and going on car rides are two of his favorite activities! A fenced-in yard would be wonderful for him to romp around in, but it’s not required. As much as Pour loves to play, he’s also a cuddle bug who will happily spend hours snuggled up on the couch with his people—he’s the perfect loyal companion. Pour is nearly fully potty trained, with only occasional accidents, and does well in his crate, though he’d much rather be by your side. Because of his size and energy level, we recommend a home with children aged 8 and older. With his quirky mannerisms and stunning white coat, Pour is sure to steal your heart.
