Meet Pyke, a 7-month-old Mastiff on the hunt for his forever home! Pyke was found as a stray and brought into a local shelter, and now he’s ready to start a new chapter with a loving family. This lovable, goofy boy has an outgoing personality and absolutely loves playing with other dogs and running around in the yard. Pyke would like a home with another dog but is not required and can live with kids aged 12 and up. As a true guardian breed, Pyke has a protective streak and will bark at the fence line to alert you to anything unusual. Because of this, he would do best in a single-family home, so apartment living isn’t ideal for him. Pyke is incredibly loyal and loves attention, frequently checking in with you for some face rubs and butt scratches. He is crate-trained but still working on housebreaking, likely due to his previous life as an outdoor dog. Pyke would benefit from a home with someone who has experience with guardian breeds or Mastiffs, as he’ll need guidance as he continues to grow.
