Queenie

Queenie is an easy, chill and snuggly pup with a rough past. She's ready to find her true forever home where she can relax, flourish and give all the cuddles. Queenie is approximately four years old and 45 pounds. She's a petite and stocky little potato! She's amazing out of a kennel when left home alone, and will greet you with her tail wagging like a helicopter when you get back. She's mellow, very lovable, and has a goofy side that loves chasing toys and shamelessly snorting for more pets. She'd prefer a low activity home without young children. She's dog friendly with balanced pups, but does require controlled introductions so that she can be sure they're friendly as well. She'd do well with a dog sibling at home, but isn't one for dog parks or busy social outings. Queenie truly just wants her person to cuddle and play with, keeping you company on the couch or for walks. She is an amazing Netflix partner or backyard garden assistant. Queenie is spayed, up to date on vaccines and has completed heartworm treatment. This adorable little nugget deserves a home fit for a queen! All known details about our animals are posted on their profile and updated daily. Other info would be discussed in detail with the foster during the application review process. Due to the number of introductions/questions received (hundreds daily) we ask you submit an application on our website (that application can be used for any dog with Take Paws Rescue). The adoption fee for adult dogs covers age appropriate vaccinations, microchip, spay/neuter if not yet performed, heartworm test & appropriate heartworm treatment by the rescue's vet. All dogs in our care are also kept up-to-date on HW/Flea Prevention. Please see our website for more information. 2022 Adoption Fee Scale for non-benefactor animals: Puppies under 12 months - $350 Dogs over 12 months - $250 *Take Paws Rescue saves dogs from high-kill shelters in Southeast Louisiana, owner surrenders, and discarded dogs with uncertain futures.
