My Story

Hi there! I graduated from the Ridge on Friday! My name is railroad, however everyone at The Ridge calls me Roady. I’m a year and a half old Shepard mix and I believe I’m a super chill dog. I love people and enjoy all the attention I have received while at the ridge. It took me a little while to realize that many people I got to meet meant that I had many friends. I have loved having all the dogs to play with too! I can get a little to excited during play time and go for a harder type of play than I should, but if a ball gets thrown, I will go after it and will play chase and keep away. My time at the ridge hasn’t been all fun, I had to work super hard as well!! I learned a lot from them like sit, stay, down stay, place, kennel, leave it, recall, heal and some fun tricks like shake, spin, rollover and stand for search! I am super excited to find my forever home just in time for the holidays! If you are interested in adopting me, please complete an application with Adams County Pet Rescue! ACPR dogs come microchipped, vaccinated and spayed or neutered when adopted. Questions may also be directed to ACPR at: [email protected] or 509-488-5514 This dog is currently receiving training at the Coyote Ridge Correctional Center in Connell, Washington. Dogs graduate between 6 weeks to 3 months, and are trained to sit, stay, lie down, come when called, walk on a loose leash and heel all on request. Dogs will also be house trained and crate trained. Ridge Dogs are ready to go to their forever home after graduating from the program. If you're interested in adding a Ridge Dog to your family fill out our online adoption application on our website at http://www.adamscountypetrescue.com.
