Reacher

Are you in the market for a pup that’s tall, dark and handsome? Look no further than this sweet boy named Reacher! Reacher is a young (1-2yr old) mixed breed pup with the most gorgeous black and tan coat and extra big paws. We think he might have some lab, shepherd or coonhound in his breed mix. He is still putting on some weight after being found as a stray, but we believe he will be between 80-90 lbs. Reacher is extremely friendly toward people and is very gentle and sweet. He has gone to places like Lowe’s and Home Depot and done amazing meeting people of all different ages. He is dog friendly and has gotten along with all of the dogs in his foster home including 10 week old puppies, but he will bark a lot when meeting new dogs and it will take him some time to settle. He has not shown any aggressive behaviors toward other dogs - he really just wants to play. He also gets along fine with cats and might just try to play with them. He definitely still has some of that puppy goofiness - especially when he tries to run on his long legs. He also has some typical puppy antics like shredding some bedding and chewing on things he shouldn’t - he just needs someone willing to work with him on structure and training. He sleeps fine in his crate and is willing to take a break in it when needed or when you leave the house for a few hours. He can pull some on leash but is getting better with it and will continue to improve with training. He is fully housebroken and neutered. He can be hesitant to get in the car at times but once he’s in he is very calm and well behaved. Reacher has the most amazing temperament - he will make a great adventure and snuggle companion for the right person or family. He truly is an amazing dog - he just needs someone willing to provide the structure he never received earlier in life.
